The journal Nuclear Physics and Engineering has been published since January 2010 six times a year of 96 pages of the A4 format in Russian, is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate of science, for the degree of doctor of science must be published.

The journal is included in the scientometric database of the RSCI (elibrary.ru), the CyberLeninka scientific library, metadata is transferred to the international repositories of scientific information Google Scholar, OCLC WorldCat, EBSCO, ROAR, BASE, OpenAIRE, RePEc.  The journal as a scientific platform for discussion with the aim of increasing the level of knowledge and its use in the field of nuclear physics and engineering. All submitted articles are reviewed by the editorial board members or external reviewers.

The journal is intended for scientists and research engineers, professionals in the field of nuclear physics and engineering, as well as undergraduates and graduate students specializing in nuclear physics.
