Источником излучения являлись космические мюоны, а также позитроны с энергией 194 МэВ, генерируемые на электронном синхротроне С-25Р. Исследованы характеры спектров черенковского излучения простых веществ в зависимости от их положения в Периодической системе элементов. Сделаны оценки световыходов черенковского излучения от отношения атомных номеров Z к объему атомов этих веществ. По результатам работы сделано предположение о возможном использовании черенковского излучения в качестве метода для определения типа веществ (черенковская спектрометрия).</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Using the difference in spectra the dependences of the light outputs of Cherenkov radiation arising under the action of cosmic muons and positrons with an energy of 194 MeV complex and simple substances added to liquid radiators on their concentration are obtained. The characteristics of the Cherenkov radiation spectra of simple substances depending on their position in the Periodic table of elements are investigated. Estimates of the light outputs of Cherenkov radiation from the ratio of atomic numbers Z to the volume of atoms of these substances are made.
